CEO and founder of The Cannabis Place, a certified social equity cannabis business and the first ever to
launch unionized cannabis dispensaries. The Cannabis Place has successfully secured licensing at both the state and
municipal level in New Jersey and was the first adult use cannabis business entity to receive Service Disabled Veteran
Owned Business designation from New York State.


Osbert is an established entrepreneur, he launched his first company a decade ago focusing on highly regulated sectors in
government contracting. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur Osbert had a distinguished career in public service and
possesses expertise in Emergency Management, Site Security, Continuity of Operations (COOP), Grant Management,
Technical Operations, Scope Development and Government Procurement.


Osbert is a Service Disabled Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served honorably as a Platoon Sergeant with the
the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force of the United States Marine Corps. His military recognitions include the Navy and Marine
Corps Achievement Medal (2nd Award), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism
Expeditionary Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation.


Osbert is a first generation American of Colombian descent and grew up in NYC Public Housing. Osbert, was the first in his
family to attend college and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Law, a Graduate
Certificate in Construction Management, Certification in Building Design for Homeland Security and Certification as a
Paralegal. He is also a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small businesses program and the Inner City Capital
Connections Program.


Osbert serves on the Advisory Board of the Cornell University/WDI Cannabis Workforce Initiative; the Board of Trustees of
Caldwell University (NJ); as a Committee Member of the National Cannabis Industry Association Diversity Equity and
Inclusion Committee and is the Co-Chair of the National Hispanic Cannabis Council, TriState NY/NJ/CT Chapter.

Osbert is licensed as a Private Investigator in New York State and as a Private Detective in Pennsylvania. He also holds professional
memberships in the National Association of Safety Professionals and the American Society of Safety Engineers. Most
recently Osbert was awarded the 2022 Veterans in Economic Transition Conference (VETCON) TOPGUN Award for his
extensive advocacy and inclusion efforts on behalf of Service Disabled Veterans, previously he received the 2021 Veterans
in Economic Transition Conference (VETCON) Community Service Award for donating and delivering over $250k in PPE
supplies to first responder agencies and hospitals in New York and New Jersey at the height of the COVID outbreak.
