Recognizing the leaders shaping the future of cannabis

The National Hispanic Cannabis Council (NHCC), in partnership with High Times and El Planteo, is proud to launch the inaugural Latino Power 100 in Cannabis, a global recognition initiative celebrating 100 exceptional Latino and Hispanic professionals whose leadership, innovation, advocacy, and service are advancing the cannabis industry.

Each year during Latino / Hispanic Heritage Month, we have an opportunity to celebrate the individuals whose contributions are strengthening our industry, opening doors for future generations, and ensuring that Latino voices are represented across every corner of the global cannabis ecosystem.

Who should the industry be talking about?

Think of the people creating opportunity, changing policy, advancing research, building community, or quietly making everyone around them better.

From entrepreneurs and executives to cultivators, scientists, policymakers, advocates, healthcare professionals, educators, investors, marketers, retailers, manufacturers, and community leaders, the Latino Power 100 recognizes those whose work is creating lasting impact.

The inaugural 100 starts with a name.

A thoughtful nomination tells us who the industry should know—and why.

Nominations open August 21 and close September 11, 2026.

The work behind the name.

A place on the list should reflect real contribution—not simply visibility. We want to understand what changed because this person showed up and did the work.

Selection is based solely on merit and impact. Commercial relationships, sponsorships, memberships, or organizational affiliations do not influence selection.

  • Meaningful industry impact
  • Leadership and professional achievement
  • Community engagement and advocacy
  • Contributions to advancing cannabis
  • Credibility and influence within the field

For more than five decades, High Times has been one of the most recognized media brands in cannabis, documenting the people, culture, businesses, and movements that have shaped the industry worldwide.

Built through collaboration

Latino Power 100 brings together NHCC's deep connection to the Latino cannabis community, High Times' editorial expertise and global platform, and El Planteo's Latin American reach and regional perspective.

Together, the three organizations aim to create a recognition program that is meaningful, credible, and reflective of the extraordinary contributions being made by Latino leaders across the cannabis ecosystem.
